Issue 18 of Nanooze: What’s in a name? Organic? Hmm… Are we talking about foods that are, well, a bit more expensive but also better for you? Not exactly. Here, organic describes the types of molecules used to create Organic Light-Emitting Diodes (OLEDs). OLEDs are not good to eat, but they are one of today’s hottest nanometerscale materials that are revolutionizing a number of devices.
